VAMPIRE KISSES 5
I've been getting a lot of emails with the question... Is there going to be a Vampire Kisses 5? The answer is "Yes!" It is called The Coffin Club and will be out next year.
Sometime this year, I'll begin writing Vampire Kisses 6--I haven't confirmed the title yet--and the third volume of manga.

SAN DIEGO COMIC CON
YAY!!! I'm going to San Diego Comic Con. I'm not sure all that I'll be doing, but the convention is from July 25th-28th.

I didn't know it was on Tokyopop's site until I noticed a really cool forum member had found it and posted it on the VK forum.
They are still finalizing the last half of the book. I think it needs to be done in the next month or so...

HAPPY DAY!
I'm so happy it is sunny! Yay--whoo! I've not been able to fully enjoy it since I'm writing, but I can see the sun and blue sky through my window.
I'm now working on two projects--one is Vampire Kisses 5-- The Coffin Club and the other is a fun and cool piece I'll be sure to blurt out once it is finished.
The manga is coming along great! I just finished the story for the second volume and the whole process is so very exciting!

Breath of fresh air
WoW!!!
I've been working non-stop and finally have a moment to breathe.
The Bluegrass fest was great--thanks for all of you who came out! :)
Kentucky is so beautiful and it was a gorgeous day to see the horsepark on the way into Lexington.
I've been working on Vampire Kisses manga--Volume 2 and the Coffin Club. I'm in the editing stages for the Coffin Club and I think close to finishing the story for the manga. The I guess they need the story so early so the artist has plenty of time to draw the artwork. Volume One looks great and I can't wait until the whole thing is finished--YAY! :)
There is a woodpecker outside my house and he/ she has been banging against a tree both day and night for weeks now. I thought I was going to freak out! Not sleeping AND having many deadlines at once, made me feel like I was the cuckoo! :)
And there was another forum blip--but everything was restored quickly--thank you Insfosaic.com (!)--my webhost. Tigerlilly has assured me that she's going to leave some fun posties shortly. (She's been on a tour of her own. :) )
So... a bit of fun in the sun and back to the next deadline.

THE COFFIN CLUB
Wow! It's been ages since I've had a chance to update the blog thing. :) I've been in lock-down writing Vampire Kisses 5 and just finished it last week. Now I'm on a deadline to finish the story for Vampire Kisses manga, Volume 2.
I just received the paperback edition for Vampire Kisses 2--Kissing Coffins. It should be in stores May 1st.
I have also received some new art by Rem for the manga. It is AMAZING!!! YAY! :)
Thanks for the emails! I haven't had a chance to respond to them as I was under a deadline. I hope to get to them in the next few weeks.
For those on the forum, Tigerlily will be moderating again shortly. Look forward to some changes there--as she likes to put her fabulous thoughts in the mix.
I'm going to be in Lexington on April 21st for a Bluegrass Festival of Books. I'm on a panel that speaks at 2pm. (I'm not even sure yet what we are speaking about. Good thing I have all that improv experience.) :)

DANCE WITH A VAMPIRE COVER!!!
At last it has arrived!!!
I am pleased to present the cover for Vampire Kisses 4--Dance with a Vampire. The cover took quite a while to make it's way to the website--there was a cover of VK4 floating about, but that was only the first draft. The first cover had a different pose of Raven, where she appears to be much older. Funny how one model can have different looks. :)
Anyway, as the cover shows, Raven is getting ready for a dance with a vampire! The book will be released in July 2007.
I'm still working on the manga as new sketches come in. And most urgently, I'm at the computer typing away at The Coffin Club.
I'm hoping to have it finished at the end of the month...

VAMPIRE KISSES 6!!!
EXCITING NEWS FLASH!!! I'd like to announce that I've been asked by HarperCollins to write Vampire Kisses 5 AND 6!!!
I already blogged about Vampire Kisses 5--The Coffin Club, but since many of you are asking how long the series will be, I thought I'd just go ahead and blurt it out. It happened a while ago, but since I had some other exciting newsie things to report, such as Vampire Kisses manga and my short story, "Haunted" being published, I figured I'd go ahead and report those.
So at this point, I know the series will have at least six books. YAY!
Many of you still have questions about what the Vampire Kisses--Blood Relatives manga is. I understand--it is confusing. Will it be brand new stories not found in the Vampire Kisses novels? Yes. Will it be set in Dullville? Yes. Will Alexander be hot? Yes. Manga is a japanese comic--though this one will be in English. The story (included in three volumes) will continue the steamy nocturnal love story between Raven and her vampire boyfriend, Alexander and what obstacles they face when Alexander's bloodthirsty cousin, Claude Sterling and his gang descend upon Dullsville.
Obviously the manga takes a long time to produce because there is so much art work involved. Rem's drawings are amazing and my jaw hits the floor everytime I get a new set of pages. Each page is breathtaking, Raven amazing (!) and Alexander is totally hot! Yay!
As far as the VK4 cover goes, I will post it as soon as I receive it. I've been told it does exist! :)
I appreciate all your fabulous emails!!! I've been busy writing The Coffin Club and I appreciate your patience...
Now, I've got to get back to work!

BLOG AND FORUM
Yikes!!!
My website experienced a server meltdown a few days ago. For those of you who post on the forum, I thank you for your patience!!!
At this point, I've been told by my webhost that they are working hard at restoring all topics posted before the crash. That said, they are not sure how many posts will be restored. I'm hoping to get some more info in the next few days.
It is always a good idea to back up your work (stories, poems, etc.) whether you are writing them on your own computer, or posting them on internet sites. I back mine up all the time. That way, I always have a second copy.
Speaking of writing, I am currently working on The Coffin Club. I have a self imposed deadline at the end of the month so I am going to immerse myself in all things Raven Madison.
Again, thanks for your patience on the whole website thingy!!! :)

HAUNTED!
I just finished a short story called, "HAUNTED." It will be published in a spooky collection of short stories just in time for Halloween. The collection entitled, "666: The Number of the Beast" will be published by Scholastic.
It was exciting to write this short story and be a part of this collection. Now I'm back to writing VK5 and working on the Vampire Kisses mangas.
The cover of Vampire Kisses 4--Dance with a Vampire should be posted within the next month...
